In my defense . . .

Well, friends, I defended my thesis. As if that weren't good enough, I also passed. Let me tell you, it feels so good to be done! I have a few minor changes and corrections to make, but on the whole, I have a finished thesis. It's times like this when I want to say "Yes, I'm awesome!"

    The finale to your stay in Provo has to be about as dramatic as the death of William Wallace, since that's who I thought of when reading your blog and realizing that you were probably also tortured at the hands of cruel dictators (the people reviewing your thesis). Did you scream "FREEDOM!!!!" when you finished? If not, too bad, because that would have been a good effect. (Although I don't think those observing would have understood the symbolism.)
